Scripting editor

Tue Mar 04, 2014 12:55 pm

As i have just purchased a RB2011U series Mikrotik router, i got a bit into the scripting language of RouterOS.

I was wondering if there is a better way of writing scripts than to write every line of the code in the CLI.
What do you guys use for third party programs to write these scripts and then just copy paste it into the CLI?

Sublime text is a nice text editor. Depends on your OS and preferences really. Any text editor will do. But I see that somebody made syntax hilighting for Sublime editor:

There are some third party editors mentioned in this post, where people have added syntax highlighting for RouterOS.

Sublime or vim with syntax highlighting.
