CCR1016-12G - All Interfaces Suddenly Stop Responding

Fri Mar 07, 2014 5:04 pm

RouterOS 6.10, Firmware 3.10.

Nothing exotic going on, just in use as a router and firewall for web servers, typical traffic is <50Mb and <10,000 connections, it has ~1.7GB of memory free. The load will probably increase in future but for now it's coping easily, CPU load is <5%. Temperatures are reasonable, 51C for CPU and 42C, it's in a datacentre facing the cold aisle...

Twice now, on a Friday afternoon (!) the CCR just suddenly stops routing. I cannot scan and find it through Winbox and it disappears from the Neighbour list of the other routers in the rack, I can use Winbox with the MAC address (saved in list) to connect, no traffic is moving except for the few bits on on interface I just connected to, nothing is logged, no errors are shown and it otherwise appears to be happy and healthy.

Has anyone else had this problem? It has only occurred since moving to RouterOS 6.10 but that might also be coincidence.

Wait RouterOS 6.11 or downgrade to 6.7

Thanks, is that a specific known issue or is it just that 6.10 is broken on CCRs?

My RB2011 would stop responding to IP traffic after a while when using ver 6.10

The console port was still responsive, but pinging out of the router showed a warning "No buffer space available"

Downgrading resolved the issue, I'm now waiting for 6.11

I'm also having this issue, with CCR1016, RB433 and SXT 5nD r2. CCR on 6.10 and the other two on 6.11.
