Hello,
I want to create a VLAN with LAN2, LAN3, LAN4, LAN5 and WLAN1
LAN1 is WAN and virtual WLAN should be VLAN2 in future.
But first I have to create the private VLAN1
Until now I created a new Bridge with LAN2, LAN3, LAN4, LAN5 and WLAN1.
then I add a VLAN and choose as Interface the new Bridge Interface.
Then I add an address for VLAN and a DHCP Server.
But wen I connect to one of the ports I won't get an IP address from the DHCP server.
I think the even the VLAN ist not running properly.
Can somebody please tell me how to install that VLAN properly with more ports?
I need that VLAN thing because I wan to create a hotspot on VLAN2 later.
Thank you! :D

Forget vlan, is over-used.

For Hotspot use VirtualAP later.

Yes I would open a VirtualAP for Hotspot.
But without VLAN the Hotspot Network ist not separated from private lan.
Is overused negative when it's a good technique?
Could you tell me how to do it correctly?

FALSE

For be on same lan, you must put VirtualAP on same bridge with local lan.
You can setup hotspot on VirtualAP using ether1 (WAN) as gateway, and your lan is not visible from hotspot*, without VLAN.

*=exept if someone know specific ip address like 192.168.1.4, etc. But is also directly reachable on VLAN.
Simply put firewall filter acion drop when src=hotspot dst=lan and vice-versa.

If you use vlan on local network, for (working) obtaining one ip address the computer and varoius devices on local lan must have vlan set, or you need to untag first.
