Nstreme Dual and splitter..

I've currently got a PtP link up and running using Nstreme Dual with 1 antenna on each side.. I'm using a splitter from Hyperlink Tech to combine/split the radio's inputs into a single 28dbi grid.. I was just reading on the archive forums about someone saying this would damage the receiving radio.. Can someone please confirm this?
Thanks, Connor

I'm not sure, so I'd verify, but if you are in the US I think that doing such may be against FCC regulations.

How would that violate FCC regulations?
The problem you might have with using one antenna is if the send of the first card in the box gets picked up on the receive of the other card in the box (dual). It's probably not going to kill it, but may desense it over time given the signal strength.
I'm pretty sure NStream dual sends and listens at the same time so this will be your problem. Then again, people are using dual feed antennas with this setup, so maybe there is not much to worry about.

The best way to do this would to use a bandpass filter and have 100mhz of of difference, that way the radio's will only hear stuff in their channel

I already have 120Mhz difference with the tx and rx radio's and as stated, I've got one of these links up and running.. No traffic over it as of yet though.. I did do some lab testing and put a large amount of traffic over the link with no adverse affects.. Bandpass filter would be good.. Would eliminate the possibility of the rx getting direct input from the tx..
Would using this setup also half the gain of the antenna?

The antenna is a passive gain so it wouldn't change.
The only loss would be in your connectors/splitters.

Anyone have any recomendations on a good bandpass filter and where one could get one? Preferably in the 5.x Ghz Range.
