Bonding WDS in bridge ... possible?

We are running many AP (RB500, 2.9.23) all of them interconnected with WDS. Each AP has a STP bridge where the wlan and the WDS are in the bridge (1 IP on each AP). So far so good; works perpect. Like huge outdoor bridged network.
Now, some APs have 2 radios (all CM9). It is possible to establish 2 WDS links between some of my APs. Of corse the STP bridge keeps one alive and shuts the other to avoid a loop. [so far, done that successful].
My idea is, (a) remove the 2 WDS from the bridge, (b) create a bonding interface and add those 2 WDS and finally (c) add the bonding to the bridge.
Will this work and if so, will it INCREASE my throughput (utilizing both WDS connections which are on different radios) ??
