MikroTik RB751U-2HnD FAIL - Will MTK make good on it?

OK, so I have been using mtk for about 5 years now... work and home. We deploy them to customers also.
Today I pulled a brand new router off the shelf and upgraded, configured as Home AP and then reboot it.
After reboot it was running fine until I decided to change the wireless configuration... now I get nothing but flashing lights.
I tried EVERYTHING and of coarse its bricked.
I sent RMA request to Streakwave (USA re seller) but as the router is over a year old (on the shelf) and I have no invoice (lost) I am sure they are not going to assist me...
Is there anything more I can do to get this RMA'd? Will MikroTik stand behind their product and replace this directly?
As this is a manufacturing defect of a 1st gen product... I sure do hope my money was spent in a good place.
SN: 45E402657605/317 (I am sure the SN should identify its defective manufacturer date)
Can you say Recall?
Thanks!
