I have searched through the forum to find any similar topics but cannot find any.

My issue is with OSPF sites that are newly commissioned onto my network and also sometimes with routers that have rebooted (due to loss of power or other issues).

In both cases, fresh installation and rebooted router the OSPF Neighbours come up and their states are "Full" however the new router that has come up only gets about 10% of my routes. To get 100% of the routes i either disable and enable the OSPF network to re-initialize the process, or i disable and enable the instance to re-initialize the process.

After the second time the OSPF comes up i get all the routes populated (this is in ROUTING->OSPF->ROUTES and in IP->ROUTES).

Has any one else come across this issue?

NOTE : This only happens sometimes, not all the time.

I will try to get some screenshots and more info the next time this happens.

Which OS version(s) have you noticed this on?

The most recent occurrence of this happened on version 6.2. Although i have not attributed this problem to any specific version of ROS.

I'm waiting for the next time this happens to get more detailed info.

add ospf !raw to logging to get more info when it happens.

Okay so a large high-site was down this morning and when it came back up i have a router where 60% of the routes are only populated.

This time i didn't fix the problem, seems the rest of the routes came through a few minutes later.

I will see if this is the case with all sites, maybe i am being impatient.
