I'm tring to setup 2 maps in the dude 2 beta, 1 with all the links as Current Data Throughput like normal and the other with the Wifi Signal Strength's

Cant see how to do it, is it even possable and if not why not?

I have the same problem.

In changelog we read:

- device and link labels on network maps can show values of any snmp variable

But there is no possibility to show for exp. signal strength on link labels.

Or mayeby I'am blind

open network map, right click device or link, choose 'Appearance', click on
'Label', click on 'Insert Oid' button, choose OID from menu.
When you open Appearance dialog, dude in background does snmp walk, so it
shows in menu only oids that are available for that particular device, also
names for oids are shown only for oids that are in dudes MIB database. You
may want to import more MIBs for particular equipment you are using.

But I use RB's with Mikrotik OS on board, and In that place i only see all of my board's interfaces.

What in that situation ?? It is still possible to have signal level from registration-table on Link label ??

As seems that the "Insert OID" button do nothing in DUDE 2.0b1, I see no way to put a RSSI level on link labels until a new release.

Also, its possible to make a probe using RSSI levels. As service, this probe can send a notification about a predefined level of the RSSI. The problem I see here is that you need to create a unique probe for every device you want to see RSSI from SNMP, cuz part of the OID number is the MAC address of that interface. Then you cant have a general service to send notifications about RSSI levels. I didnt know why MT does not made that OID number together with the interface´s index instead of the interface´s MAC address. Another great thing MT should put in their SNMP is the number of total wireless clients connected to an AP. So far I found only RSSI levels that you can view at the "wireless registration table" item on the "snmp" tab.

Hey Uldis. I did as you said and I can get the signal strength that way. My question though, is that I would like to have the signal strength for all the connections that are on my wlan link. In this case, I have a bunch of links that are all dynamic in there connections. So, at any given time there could be 1 to 10 links up. Is there away to simply say that I want the signal level from all wds links? I can't figure out how to script some thing like that in Dude. Any suggestions?
