Very strange problem, can't ping specific client

Wed Aug 27, 2014 4:54 am

I tried to ping 192.168.88.10(Radius server) using my attached 2 configuration file from my RB951G (192.168.88.1), it's very strange with failure for "Ping Not OK", I did not find the root cause and it's look like very simple configuration and I did it in before many times.

I'm sure the problem come from RB951G, because of I try to restore "Ping OK", and it's working and nothing change in my Radius server(192.168.88.10)

when I disable Hotspot, the Ping is working, so I think seems problem come from Hotspot, but I tried to compare 2 configuration file carefully, didn't find reason.

Hope you can help me, this problem drive me to mad at recently.

Thank you, sincerely

For hotspot it's a normal behavior, you cannot ping your IPS given by the HOTSPOT ... Yes you can add IP wtih IP Bindings ...
And actually I dont sure what it is right way ...
I dont have at this moment device for testing that, but try in DHCP server change "Bootp Support: from static to dynamic"

Dear Kickoleg, could you please help to check my configuration file? one of the configuration file is working fine and support ping without add IP-Bindings, but I don't know what's differences.

I tried to change DHCP as you said, but still can't ping to 192.168.88.10. It's so strange. I want to know the root cause.

Thanks for your reply.
