poe budget 260gsp

Wed Sep 03, 2014 11:53 am

Hi.

I would like to understand how many units I can power using a RB260GSP.

Currently the unit itself is powered via POE (on ether1). I have 1 RB911 and 2 OmniTiks powered from the RB260.

When I try connect an sxt to the RB260, When network usage increases all the devices reboot.

So my question is simple, what is the output of the switch when it is powered via POE? how many devices can I power?

A lot depends on the input voltage being supplied to the 260. Are you using a PoE injector? Or is it powered by a PoE switch etc?

Thanks for the reponse!

I am using the power supply that comes with the RB260GSP plugged into a Mikrotik power injector, does that help at all?
