Howto update Mikrotik wiki?

Hi,

Reading Hotspot external login page in the mikrotik wiki, I've noticed this sentence :
Check your php server /etc/php.ini file for "magic_quotes_gpc=on". It should be set to off. Otherwise, you will get double backslashes in the chapid and chapchallenge in login.php. That causes a "invalid user or password" error.
I've no modify rights to the Mikrotik wiki and could be good to add an advice saying that this php feature (magic_quotes_gpc) has been deprecated as of PHP 5.3.0 and removed as of PHP 5.4.0.

There are so many bigger problems with that page than just that sentence IMHO... In fact, that sentence may actually be somewhat helpful to someone unfortunate enough to work with a legacy PHP installation.

In general, to get Wiki permissions, you need to ask support for it. I already have such, and I could edit the text for you, but honestly, I'm not sure how to formulate the text exactly, other than to remove the thing altogether (I mean, the sooner the PHP community forget magic quotes existed, the better).

@ boen_robot,

For me, to erase the sentence is ok. I think that is worse to have it ( and people losing time trying to understand why this feature is not in his php.ini)

I guess you're right...

Well... I've almost removed that entire note... I've left a link to the PHP manual for anyone who might wonder "what's this magic quote thingy?", prefixing with "if it's earlier than 5.4.0". People using 5.4.0 or later will instantly know they don't need to worry about it, and people using earlier PHP releases will be much more heavily pushed towards disabling it if it is, rather than trying to work around with the previously provided function.
