Winbox file manager drag and drop problem

Tue Jan 06, 2015 2:50 pm

I'm not sure what has changed but using Fedora 20 & WinBox, I can no longer drag and drop any kind of file that I've saved on my Router (under "Files") to my Fedora's folders? I have upgraded to 6.24 but I'm not sure if its not some kind of Fedora-block but I doubt it? I've always wondered why the WinBox "Files List" doesnt have a download option? You could only drag and drop. Just wanted to report this problem if its on MikroTik's end? thanks

I originally misread your question -- you were talking about downloading, not uploading. I've never seen that failure. However, in dire circumstances you could always use tool/e-mail to email the file to yourself.

As far as upload goes, Files does have a "paste" option -- it's the brown icon in the window header, there's no other way to do it. "Copy" the file(s) in Windows, then paste.

I periodically run into the problem where drag-and-drop uploading of files in Winbox fails (the cursor turns into a ∅ sign). Usually this happens right after I update Winbox to a new version, and corrects itself a few days later for no obvious reason. It's maddening.
