Hi, my name is Mikomi and I'm looking for some help. My friend's MikroTik Panel got hacked and he's locked out since the attacker changed the password. He managed to get access back to the server where his MikroTik is hosted. If he can't login as an admin via RouterOS v6.5; and only have access to his files via VM Ware; how can he recovery his password?

What kind of installation is this?
If he does have a backup, he can reset the router and then restore the backup. Otherwise, he can only reset it and start from scratch, and put a decent username and password to protect the router.

You mean it's ROS not RB?
As I read in wikis there's no way to restore MT's password unless you have some backup user.
But I think there's way to restore RB'password

There is no way. Your only option is clean install with complete reset.

If he has a backup of the ROS VM that could be restored/rolled back.
If the hacker is still using it and connecting insecurely, he could sniff the traffic to get the password.
