Hi, because my network is growing fast I wanted to use RIP instead of bridges but what was my surprise when I saw that RIP and OSPF will be in Level 5 = it will be quite expensive AP if it will cost same price as now. Can you give me a bit more information about licensing in 2.10? What should I use instead of RIP?

Thanks

http://www.mikrotik.com/software.php - says RIP, OSPF, BGP won't be available for < level 5 in version 2.10

I have a question tho - what does RIP have to do with bridges, how are they similar?

not above level 5, but in level 5 and better. remember that level 4 is the lowest level now, so level 5 is not that expensive. plus there will be some other licensing changes, so that this becomes even more attractive.

No, RIP does routing. Bridges makes interface transparent. But bridge is made by CPU so your bandwidth is 4-5MB (1-2 MB in WDS and bridge together) instead of 12MB on Ethernet port on RB112.
