I need to configure several RouterBOARD 951-2n devices each month with an identical configuration. Each time I save out my 'golden' config from one router using WebFig (Files-Backup-Download) and load it onto a fresh one (Files-Click file, Restore, put in the file password and say yes to the restart) the configuration is not correct when it comes back up. The differences include:
In CPE mode in the quickset menu instead of home AP
Wrong WAN interface config (static at 0.0.0.0 instead of DHCP)
No wireless config
There are probably more differences but I haven't found them yet.
How can I achieve what I want (all routers I produce running the exact same config)? Is there some problem with the backup config file containing hardware specific information like MAC addresses which can't move between different routers even though they are the same model? I've tried saving a config script from the CLI and this does seem to work if you apply it after a config reset or as part of a network boot using NetInstall, but it doesn't put the password for the admin user in. This is workable, but still requires more manual steps than I'd really like for a fast workflow.
I upgraded each router to v6.25 before I started.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
