DHCP mac filtering / mac patterns

Wed Feb 18, 2015 12:17 pm

Is it possible to apply different DHCP networks (or just DHCP options) based on mac address?

For example, all mac addresses starting 00:04:F2 (all our Polycom phones) to pickup a particular set of DHCP options.

But all our Gigaset phones starting 7C:2F:80 to pickup a different set of DHCP options.

I think on Windows Server DHCP server this is called Link layer-based filtering.

This would be a great feature to have if it isn't currently possible.

There is no such option to give addresses only by 6 digits of MAC-address on MikroTik DHCP server. The only way is to add all possible combinations for the specific manufacturer to lease list or to RADIUS leases configuration.
