Google analytis walled garden not working

Ok so I have found this very odd issue not sure if anyone can help.
On our hotspots we run Google analytic code for the login page for various reasons. This means I have to add two items into my walled garden for it to work www.google-analytics.com and ssl.google-analytics.com.
Everything has been working fine until chrome came out with there update to test the internet connection. With www.google-analytics.com in the walled garden I get the dreaded error network is slow cant connect. I do know to turn off your auto network switch to get past this just wont work with our support and clients.
I then started to see if i need to put something into the walled garden to get out such as what we do with apple devices. I was unable to find anything. However if is disable www.google-analytics.com in my walled garden I can then connect up to the signal all the time I do no get any "cant connect speed errors", but then my analytics no longer works. As soon as I turn that walled garden rule back on the error comes back.
I have tried all sorts of option to no avail. Even if i just put google.com in the walled garden I get the error.
Any thoughts?
