Hi there, I have a RB411 routerboard and now it's stuck it won't start up.
I've tried reseting it by holding the reset while the rb is on. I've tried also flashing it using netinstall but after I follow the procedure for net booting step by step it doesn't want to show up in the netinstall window.
While holding a metal on the reset hole I plug in the power cable and the user led and led505 status starts blinking for 5-10 seconds and after that I have only the ethernet led's and the power led on.
Is there any way of reseting this rb reflashing it or installing another mikrotik version?

Attach a console cable and use hyperterm or similar to observe the boot process. Per the instructions in the wiki you will be able to force it into net install mode from there.

Also, make sure you have a static ip on your computer interface connected to your rb411. Connect directly via ethernet. The process can take a few tries but it does work.

TRY THE 30-30-30 RULE METHOD: (from Google search)

1. when the unit is powered on, hold down its reset button for 30 seconds
2. while still holding down the reset button, unplug the router from power and hold for an additional 30 seconds
3. still holding down the reset button, turn on power to the router again and hold for 30 more seconds

After this process (a total of 90 seconds) is complete, your router should be restored to its factory default state. Note that your particular router may not require the full 30-30-30 procedure. For example, some routers can at times be hard reset after only 10 seconds and without power cycling. Nevertheless, I still recommended memorizing this 30-30-30 rule as a general guideline.

It works for me in a 450G.
