Is there a way to test the Max throughput of a Tik router (1100) that is using NAT internally. I have a few extra 1100s and would like to test maximum throughput. We are an ISP that is mostly providing service to student apartment communities and our front-end router of choice is the 1100. We noticed in our Cacti graphs that many of our large apartment complexes were only showing a max of 240Mbps down using 64-bit counters and SNMP. We want to setup a lab to test this -- any ideas would be appreciated.
Traffic generator is very powerfull tool, and whith it you can simulate real life traffic, you can buld any size packet, diferent ip-protocols and chose interface to send traffic, set ip source/ip destination and so on.
