VPN between 2 RB750GL

Tue Jun 02, 2015 3:30 pm

Hello,

I want to connect to different networks with VPN using RB750GL routers.

The networks are different: 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24

I have static public ip in the WAN interface.

I need to send VoIP from one network to other, which is the best method to do that?

I read lots about IPSec, site-to-site VPN, Ethernet tunnel... Which is the best for VoIP?

I will appreciate your help.

Best regards.

Hi josu,

Frequently i use L2TP/IPSEC to connect sites that share one IPPBX. Normally we connect calls under PCMU codec and the voice quality is excelent. In some cases we have to implement Qos for Voip or use lighter codecs like G729 depending the bandwidth and the network traffic.

Regards.

Thanks mocando,

Could you show me any IPSec basic configuration?

Are both sites in different networks? Or they share same broadcast domain?

Thanks for your help. Kind regards.

Hi josu,

You can read this article http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/L2TP_%2B_ ... ik_routers.

Both sites are different networks, in some cases in different countries.
