Connect two routers

Fri Jun 19, 2015 11:19 pm

I have two static WAN IP assigned from my ISP. One I use on Asus router with TomatoUSB and to wich all the intranet devices are connected. I now added a brand new Mikrotik router (hAP Lite) that I use mainly for network learning and as igmp proxy for IPTV.

What I want to do now is to connect the Mikrotik (192.168.8.1) to the Asus over ethernet cable on specific port (eth4). I connected them both together with the cable and set static IP address for eth4 to a IP in Asus network (192.168.0.1). I can ping this IP but not the Asus router or any of the devices in the 192.168.0.0 network.

I tried many things but all this is just try and fail. What is the proper way to connect this two routers? I just wish to see all the devices in my 192.168.0.0 network if I am connected to my Mikrotik (wireless or wired with 192.168.8.0 network address).
