Am i getting data loss or is it a bug in the traffic grapher see image

Tue Jul 28, 2015 11:39 am

I have a RB 2011UAC-RM and I am seeing a momentary gaps in traffic, it is consistent as it moves of too the left another one appears, see image.

I have a RB1100AHx2 and when I replace the 1100 with it, I do not see the gaps in traffic.

Hi,

do you see ethernet port status changes in the router's log?
Did you notice connection drops?

What RouterOS, what RouterBoard firmware? To what kind of device ether1 is connected to?

I am getting severe dropouts which effect PPPoE users more than others.

Not noticed anything in log other PPPoE user disconnected.

Hi opalit,

please enable debug logging for "pppoe" and "interface". Maybe you'll get some helpful additional information.

And again, please tell us your RouterOS version and your RouterBoard firmware version. AFAIK, there were port flapping issues in the past.

You should update - ROS v6 was buggy in its earlier versions such as 6.1 - they're all the way up to version 6.30.2 now. LOTS of bugs have been fixed since 6.1
