Lost quickset options

Thu Aug 20, 2015 12:34 pm

Hi Ladies and Gents

I'm very new to Mikrotiks and do my best to familiarise myself with the basics of scripting etc, I have been playing around on the hAP lite but have now somehow removed all configuration, and even the basic Quickset options. (No Home AP, WISP mode etc)

I now only have Ethernet Quickset even after trying a full reset, and restore basic config.
I presume I've overwritten the basic config somewhere along the line.

I have another 20 or so of the wondeful little devices, could I clone the config from a bog standard device and just change the MAC address to rescue this particular one I'm messing around with?

Appreciate your responses.

Regards

quickset shows options based on interfaces. make sure you have the wireless package installed and enabled in the "system packages" menu, and that the interface is enabled in the "interfaces" menu

Hi

There was no wireless package, I attempted to load the routeros-smips package again and am now unable to reconnect via winbox.

Not receiving a valid IP address and not able to log on via MAC address.

Have I bricked it?
